The problem
Motion designers, producers and clients often use the same words to mean different things, from “1st hold” to “animatic”. Creative Codex calls itself the universal translator for creatives: one place to look up the industry-standard meaning of a term.
What I built

Term database
Each of the 422 terms is a CMS item with its own page, from production terms like 1st hold and 30-day notice to craft terms like ambient occlusion.

Search on the home page
Visitors search the database from the home page and get matching definitions in the results.

Category and contribute pages, plus About and Our Mission pages that explain the project.
